I walk with ultimate faith
Theme of the Day
You make your own prison when you continue to surround yourself in fear
Welcome to Day 48 of the challenge. If you’re jumping in right now, be sure to check out the Welcome to the Triple Dog Dare to get started. The previous days are listed at the bottom of each post with a hyperlink.
Eight swords surround a bound woman and it appears that there is no way out. However, she can always go up. The boundaries and limitations are self-created. Fear has a funny way of doing that to each one of us. When we are afraid of something, that is imagined, we remain crippled and unable to move in any direction.
A woman came in asking about her marriage and she wasn’t quite sure what to do because it wasn’t going very well. She didn’t take much action because she feared in making the wrong choice.
You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are abel to say to yourself, “I lived through this horror I can take the next thing that comes along.” – Eleanor Roosevelt
After much meditation and science, I laid out the cards and the hidden secrets were exposed. The Eight of Swords appeared in the mix and I shared my findings with her. She confided that she wasn’t feeling good about herself as she gained some weight and wasn’t working at the moment. This created a fear of her being unattractive towards her husband, so she pushed him away. Then, she felt guilty and soon, she found herself in a vicious cycle of self-loathing and hatred.
We talked about ways to deconstruct her self-imposed prison and strengthen her relationship with her husband. It wasn’t going to happen over night, but for the time being she had some solid action steps she could utilize until she found professional help regarding her weight loss.
Spirit suggested that she love herself unconditionally as this was some of the reasons behind her weight-loss.
You have TWO Triple Dog Dare Challenges today. Read the challenges and close your eyes to connect with what the challenge is asking of you. Allow yourself to walk through the experience and be sure to capture as much as you can with your words as well as intent.
Triple Dog Dare Challenge #1: Invite a friend out for some tea and talk about your deepest fear that prevents you from moving forward in your life. Determine if the fear is real or not. If it is not, then create some strategies that will allow you to regain focus in your life so you can move towards success. If it is real, then a therapist might be needed to help you move forward.
Triple Dog Dare Challenge #2: You’re faced with indecision and it’s to the point where you feel crippled. Take a step back and figure out a way to examine all of your options. Most of our limitations are self-imposed. If you feel you can’t look at the entire picture, then invite some friends over and share your situation with them. They might offer a viable solution to your problem. Additionally, they might have a situation where YOUR insight is needed.
Once you’ve completed your Triple Dog Dare Challenge, celebrate that! I invite you to step out of your comfort zone and share with us in the comments below so we can celebrate with you.
