I release all of my sorrows and leave them behind
Theme of the Day
You can breathe a little easier as you move away from difficult times
Welcome to Day 46 of the challenge. If you’re jumping in right now, be sure to check out the Welcome to the Triple Dog Dare to get started. The previous days are listed at the bottom of each post with a hyperlink.
You’ve just came out of a difficult battle and you’re feeling the bruises from it. Know that you’re moving away from hard times. You’ve had a tough journey and there were times you weren’t sure you were ever going to come out of it unscathed. But, my young grasshopper, you did. You came away from your obstacles and now you’re moving towards more peaceful times.
Six of Swords serves as a reminder that life has to show you the hard, so you can appreciate the good stuff. Set your vision on your future and clearly define what it is that you want to work towards.
You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don’t try to forget the mistakes, but you don’t dwell on it. You don’t let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space. – Johnny Cash
There are too many stories to share regarding my clients and the Six of Swords. In all of my experiences, there is one that stands out the most. A client came in and he was a bit standoffish. He wanted to know what the cards had to say and that was it. This made it quite challenging for me because he didn’t have a specific question and it was one of those cases where the reader wanted me to “prove” my tarot reading abilities.
My guide stepped in and gave me the faith I needed to do the reading. After the cards were shuffled and laid down before him, I said nothing. The querent had put up a huge psychic wall, so I encouraged my guide to talk to his guide. My gaze swept across the spread and the card that jumped out was the Six of Swords.
Without looking at him, I woe together the story in which my guide and cards shared with me. Each word I spoke. Each fact I uncovered. Left this man in shock. In a nutshell, he was having trouble moving on with his life. He clung too heavily on the past, and this made it impossible for him to fully embrace the things in his life.
Every day is a new day, and you’ll never be able to find happiness if you don’t move on. – Carrie Underwood
