I will shed what no longer serves me and I will embrace changes that happen in my life with a full heart.
Theme of the Day
It’s a time when stable structures collapse, so release what’s no longer serves you and allow room for sudden insight to come forth in your life.
Welcome to Day 17 of the challenge. If you’re jumping in right now, be sure to check out the Welcome to the Triple Dog Dare to get started. The previous days are listed at the bottom of each post with a hyperlink.
Life is great and you’re coasting along. Everything appears to be running smoothly – then swammo – you’ve been blinded-sided by something that totally rocks your entire world. The company you’ve worked so hard to build, an idea you’ve spent months working on, the team you’ve been working with, is not doing so well. There comes a moment in time when the things you THOUGHT were doing well, were ACTUALLY not. What does one do when the air has been smacked out of their lungs? Or when the world is spinning and you can’t catch your breath?
A company about 45 minutes South of where I lived, thrived for many years. Several women I knew were super proud to be independent distributors, did well in sales, and made good money. This was a company that allowed many men and women to generate excellent revenue to supplement additional income for their families or themselves.
A sudden change in plans will lead to good fortune. – Panda Express fortune cookie
A year ago, the company announced that it was closing and ended up leaving many of these women with a bunch of inventory they couldn’t unload quickly. A client came in and expressed her sadness over the loss and mentioned that she didn’t know how she was going to support her family without the extra income.
A little while later, another client came in and shared she wanted to reinvent herself because she no longer wanted to work at her prestigious law firm. The legal work was no longer satisfying and she felt the need to be doing something else.
While both scenarios were different, energetically, they were the same. It was evident that The Tower had emerged because they both had sudden insight about their future and the life they once knew needed to be reassessed. My advice to them was the same: The Tower invites you to shatter your old thought processes and it’s time to shake some things up in your life so you can evolve as the amazing human being you are.
Nothing is so painful to the human mind as a great and sudden change. – Mary Wollstonecraft Shelle
After the tears flowed and much discussion, we created a solid plan for the women to follow so they could begin their first steps towards success. We talked about how to say good-bye to the former version of themselves so they could embrace the new, innovative, risk-taking souls they were about to become. The idea proved to be scary, but with a soul blueprint in hand, they felt stronger and more confident that they had the skill set, the knowledge, and the power to manifest the future they envisioned for themselves.
The Tower appears today because now is a great time to take all the skill sets you have learned and apply them to a new path or a new idea. Life is about growth where one takes the old ideas/practices, learns from it, dissects it, steps into change, creates a new idea, embraces innovation, and applies the new ideas/practices.
I am not immune to the influence of The Tower. My original business idea didn’t do very well, so I had to do some deep soul work and it was revealed to me that I was not being true to myself. This translated to what my energies put out into the universe. It was hard because I LOVED my original business idea, helping people write their books, but my heart was not entirely in it as much as what I am doing now: I help people connect with their spirit so they see the bigger picture in order to make informed decisions and avoid expensive mistakes. I help people move from the passenger seat and into the driver’s seat.
Once the initial shock wore off, my focus sharpened and my new business focused. More clients streamed in, revenue skyrocketed, and my soul sang because I was able to serve people in the way my soul/spirit was destined to do so.
If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude. – Maya Angelou
You have THREE Triple Dog Dare Challenges today. Read the challenges and close your eyes to connect with what the challenge is asking of you. Allow yourself to walk through the experience and be sure to capture as much as you can with your words as well as intent.
Triple Dog Dare Challenge #1: Examine a business product that is not doing very well and check in with your spirit. Should you make some changes to that product? Should you scrap that product? Should you keep that product? Whatever answer comes to you and the choice you have made with a clear, sound mind, then sleep on it. If you feel the same way in the morning, talk it over with some people and then make a firm decision.
Triple Dog Dare Challenge #2: Examine your own life and your relationships with the people around you. Are you being the very best version of your self? If not, find out why and work on that. Is there someone that needs to be shown the door because they’ve been ugly to you? It might be time to radically clean your friendship house.
Triple Dog Dare Challenge #3: Are you stuck in a job or a career and you just know you might be getting a pink slip? Now might be a time to take a look at other options. Options that allow you to really step up your game and show case your amazing talents.
