5 Steps to Manifest a Clear Direction in Your Life

Learn how to manifest a clear direction in your life so you can achieve the life you want for yourself.  Many times, you may have heard people saying: Think positive thoughts to get the desired outcome you want.  However, you may have wondered how to think positively when everything falls apart.  You’re working SO hard to think positive thoughts and you even go as far as to look in the mirror to SAY those positive thoughts out loud.   This is the very reason why people fail at continuous positive thinking.

I invite you to shift your thinking and reframe the whole positive thinking notion.  Shift from “positive thinking” just for the sake of “positive thinking” to “think positively to manifest a clear direction in your life”.

Manifesting a clear direction in your life using positive thinking is like a muscle that needs to be worked every single day, even if things are not going right in your life.

I must be very clear that this is not a post on HOW to think positively or HOW you have to remain positive all the time or HOW everything in your life is all about rainbows and unicorns.  Truth be told.  Life is ugly.  Life is unforgiving.  Life throws you curveballs and sometimes you don’t know how to respond.  There are intervals of great moments that occur during the trying times.  Moments like getting great news or an unexpected present or a promotion.

 

You can't live a positive life with a negative mind.

Side note:

There is a misconception that thinking positive means you have to be a happy person ALL. THE. TIME.  and this is not true.  Positive thinking is a very different from being happy all the time, even when you don’t feel happy.  It’s also a different act of thinking positive to manifest a clear direction in your life.

Life is not a bed of roses and nothing is guaranteed.  It is okay to think negative thoughts and allow yourself some time to hold space in those thoughts.  This is the very nature of the Yin/Yang relationship you have within yourself.

Now that is out of the way, here are some steps that can help you increase the frequency of your positive thoughts.

Construct Your World.

Every day when you get up in the morning, read or listen to some quotes related to positive thinking.  If you are an auditory learner, listening makes a greater impact than reading. You can hear these quotes in television and radio. You can also download them from the Internet. They are available in abundance on the web. In addition, if you are a visual learner, you can always keep a book with you to read it any time throughout the day you want to. This is the first and basic to follow to bring about an optimistic attitude to you.

Additionally, surround yourself around images and information that will propel you in the direction you want to go in.  For example, if you want to be a successful business owner, then surround yourself around literature that shows you tips and tricks on how to take your business to the next level.  The same applies for those who want to be a successful writer.   Find other writers to learn from and support, read all you can about how to do a certain skill set well, join online as well as offline community groups, and publish your work.

Speak Wisely.

Speak in a positive tone as much as you can.  Remember, it’s okay to dip into negativity from time to time.  What you don’t want to do is to stay there.  Words have power and frequency.  When you’re speaking, you send out your message to the universe and the intent starts to materialize.  For instance, instead of saying, “I’m a terrible business owner because I can’t get clients”, say, “I support other business owners and often send referrals their way”. This allows your mind to shift in a positive direction and you get the confidence to proceed further with challenges. Keep hope and believe in yourself to make a difference to your attitude. This works in favor of optimism.

Accepting Responsibility. 

Instead of accusing others or yourself for some failed work, take the responsibility to get out of the situation and achieve success.  Step back and look at the situation from a different perspective.  You never know what kind of groundbreaking solution you’ll find.  The problem with blaming, is that it leads to more failures, negativity and fear in yourself. Therefore, analyze as to why the things went haywire and troubleshoot to make things right.  The faster you learn to do this, the greater things will start happening in your favor.

Limit Negativity. 

Limit the duration of negative emotions in your mind. For example, you may have failed giving a powerful presentation. It is definite that you will get upset and be in a funky state for many days. There might even be an indulgence in tub of ice cream in there somewhere.  However, you have to avoid being in a funky state and think positively as to WHY you failed at the task you wanted to do well on. Analyze the reason behind your failure, create a new strategy to move forward, and start working on it from the next day. Shift your thought process to accept that the failure might have done some good to you.

It’s All In The Vision.

Create a vision board with all the things you would like to have in your life.  It is powerful to have a constant VISUAL reminder of the steps you need to take in order to manifest the life you want.

These are few strategies to make you from a person who thinks they can’t to a person who thinks they can.
