When you wake up in the morning, do you ever think: I’m meant to be someone bigger than I am right now? Does the level of frustration continue to rise throughout your day because things don’t seem to be happening as quickly as you would like it to? And in your daily hustle, do you feel that your goals are just that – goals?
Often times, you may feel like you’re in the movie – Groundhog Day – with Bill Murray. Where your life is the exact scenario as the previous day. Nothing changes. The alarm wakes you up. You brush your teeth, shower, and get dressed. Only to perform the exact same functions throughout the day until your head hits the pillow the following night.
Wait a minute….
If you’re anything like me, you might say that there are SLIGHT changes within your day.
Okay, you might have slight variances in your day, but the overall feel is exactly the same. Pretty soon, you’re not content with playing follow the leader. You’re not content with going with the flow. You’re not content with accepting things as they are.
You’re destined for more. You can feel it in your BONES!
Somewhere along the line, the spirit has whispered something into your heart. You now have a yearning for something more. At first, you couldn’t put your finger on it, but you knew a shift had happened. You’ve been called to do more with your life. You’ve been called to step into a different role. You’ve been called to LEAD others in a powerful way. But, how do you transition into this new version of yourself?
Advice from the SPIRIT….
You’re being gently reminded that everything is connected by way of the Magic Stream. Water is a powerful source that connects all divine beings to one another. Honor the power you have within and step into what you were meant to be.
However, in order for that to happen, it’s important to Clean House. Clear out the things in your life that no longer serve you. This varies according to each person. For some, this means walking away from a career that is a dead end and for others, it means to distance yourself from people who are weighing your down.
Once you have accepted that you are connected to the divine and others around you, and you have cleared the unnecessary clutter from your life, then it is time to be a Gentle Gardner. The spirit invites you to be your own person and to be in charge of co-creating your life that has been whispered to you.
One must be able to influence others to accomplish a goal, or an objective. A leader contributes to the organization and cohesion of a group.
How are leaders formed?
Some people think that leaders are born. This cannot be further from the truth. Extraordinary leaders are made with several essential ingredients:
Constant self-improvement. Many up and coming leaders did not start off as leaders. They read all the necessary books needed to improve themselves. Up and coming leaders talked to other leaders and learned from them. They went to different professional development conferences and listened to the speeches of other powerful leaders who have already paved the way. And most importantly, the listened to the whisper of the spirit and follow their passion.
Authenticity. We all have natural skills instilled within us. Rather trying to be someone you’re not, it’s imperative that you flow with the vibes already within you. The spirit has gifted you with some amazing talents that are unique to only you. Your amazing skill set is what separates you from other up and coming leaders.
Commitment. When you’re passionate towards something, your agenda is to serve a specific cause. For example, if you’re passionate about helping people get better access to clean water, then your purpose is to ensure that you are doing everything to help those people get access to clean water. This might mean you having to write to your congressman, create YouTube videos to raise awareness, utilize different modalities to get your message out there, and more.
Show others through your actions that you are consistent, passionate, and committed. Everything you do is for the people.
Trust. People mobilize into action when they know, like, and trust an individual. When you have established trust, then others will want to support you. You establish trust by being consistent and follow through on exactly what you promise to deliver.
Excellent communication skills. It’s integral to share your vision and the next course of action very clearly. Get in the habit of ensuring what you’re saying is clear to the person you’re speaking with. If you struggle with communicating with others, it’s highly recommended that you check out your local toastmasters group.
Good judgement. It’s important to think all of your actions through before you act on them. People already feel uncertain about some aspects of their life. When they are looking to a leader, they want someone who is self-assured and confident in the decisions they make for the group. If you’re not certain, ask a group of trusted individuals for their sage advice.

Initially, these people did not wake up one day and say, “I’m going to be a leader.” What happened was the spirit whispered their destiny into their hearts and they followed. As they progressed over time, they became leaders.
