Stretch Your Boundaries: Visit Other Blogs

It is such a joy to have you here today.

It is Day 11 of our #30DayChallenge — the 30 Day Client Growth Strategies Training — so you can you inject more cash into your business.  Let’s explore how visiting other blogs can lead to more revenue for your business.

I always take some time during the week – preferably one day a week – for an hour and visit other blogs.  The topics are random and I usually come across great blogs recommended by others on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter.  Once I read through the posts, I make sure I leave a comment (aka my virtual business card).  I try to be a regular commenter because the blogger will get to know who I am.

Blog Commenting Tip: When you’re leaving a comment, be sure to go beyond the “Great Post” or “I agree”, as this will not capture the attention of the blogger.  Instead:

  • Specify what you liked about the post and how it impacted your life, business, etc.
  • Offer additional information that was not mentioned in the post, but you feel that the readers need to know about it.  When doing this be professional because at the end of the day, if the blogger does not like your tone, they can delete your comment.
  • If you disagree with a segment in the blog post, state why in a professional way and share some facts to support your statement.

My small one-hour a week action steps has resulted in amazing friendships.  People love to know that there are people reading their content and what better way to do that, than leave a thoughtful comment.

Many of these connections have lead to current working projects.

So, today, take some time to implement your connecting with others.  Take a look at what you can teach and make a connection with the community. Spread the word and visit blogs so you can leave your “virtual business card”.  Position yourself as an expert.

Remember, if it is not scheduled — it does not get done.  So be sure to put this action step into your calendar and make it a part of your weekly routine.

Share the blogs you read and have left a comment on, so I can see!

With love and abundance,

P.S. Reaching out to others will result in an increase in traffic to your website.
