Welcome to day 10 of this training.
No event can be found without spreading the word about it. You can advertise on community boards, at your local business forum, in the local newspaper, and in Facebook groups created around your area. Depending on your area, you might even find groups for local business owners already created on Facebook that you can tap into. Additionally, you can take the time to send personal invitations to specific business owners — either Facebook or via email.
Sending messages to people you do not know is SPAMMING and it will hurt your business. Believe it or not, people talk and this is the fastest way to stunt your business growth.
Remember in the post How to Grow Your Tribe so Your Business Can Thrive, I mentioned that reaching out to new people in a strategic way can help catapult your business into the stratosphere.
If you know the person you’d like to reach out to, send them a graphic invite or a link to your event you’d like for them to attend. Additionally, create a strategic alliance with the person and suggest: they share your event information and you’ll share any upcoming event they might have.

Try to avoid speaking over your audience because you will lose them. Do not try to confuse them with words and expressions they are unfamiliar with. Readers respond to facts and figures, not fancy speech or vocabulary words that are rarely used. If you lose them because they don’t understand what you’re talking about, you’ve now become someone they are unable to relate to. Therefore why should they bother doing business with your or purchasing your product.
This approach is great for landing new clients and can be relatively easily implemented with a bit of love and care on your part. All you need to do is move into ACTION.
