The Phoenix asks you to step into the transformational thought process. Change can be scary and downright paralyzing. It’s the beginning of the school year. Parents are sending their kids off to school and pretty soon, they get to thinking of the changes that will happen in the upcoming school year. New friends, new teacher, and a new year.
As you hum along in your daily routine and the phone rings. It’s Uncle Milton. You’re talking to your Uncle Milton and he’s sharing some great times he had when he was younger. A gentle whisper urges you to capture Uncle Milton’s stories before it’s too late. Yet, you continue to listen to the stories and then when the call is over, you buzz along in your daily activities. You think you’re going to remember all of his stories.
Rather than assume that you’ll remember, make it solid. Capture those sties and make them concrete in a journal or an electronic document. Better yet, record them as you talk to your Uncle, as this will be a keepsake memory for you should something happen later down the line.
First comes thought; then organization of that thought, into ideas and plans; then transformation of those plans into reality. The beginning, as you will observe, is in your imagination. – Napoleon Hill
Twice a month, I meet families that wish they would have made some changes in their lives. Their regret runs deep. I should have… I could have…. I needed to… Rather than become a statistic, why not surrender to the change in the seasons of life and capture those memories on paper?
This is also a great idea for those who are looking for inspiration for a product or a workshop idea. The memories of the past hold the keys to the future.
