Positive Affirmation of the Day:
My life is filled with peace and my spirit is at ease.
Central Theme of Your Writing Piece for the Day:
The combination of the two cards — 5 of Clubs and 4 of Spades – creates several intense scenarios. The main focus of the combination is an intense worry about the future. The end result is an involuntary separation.
At first glance, this combination seems a bit dismal. Who wants an involuntary separation from anything? Sounds kind of harsh and against the will of the person. Not really and you’ll see why.
After you go to the gym a bunch of times, folks start recognizing you. Casual friendships form only in the sphere of the gym which end once you swipe out.
The owner talked with all of us and made sure we all had our workout needs met. I found it hard to concentrate at times because his energy dripped in fear and worry. He tried to show us a tough exterior, but the swirls of worry counteracted his intent. Because I didn’t know him well, I didn’t push or probe.
A few weeks later, he approached me and asked me questions about why my ex and I didn’t work out. Since I’m an open book, I shared with him the highlights of what happened. He listened intently and then disclosed his worry about the future of his marriage. I couldn’t help but smile inwardly because this mirrored the 5 of Clubs. His worry was real, so I encouraged him to listen to his heart and go from there.
His heart told him to take his wife out to dinner.
Three days later he came in and yelled at me. He blamed me for his wife wanting to divorce him. He said he took her out to dinner and she told him she wanted a divorce. She was so glad he took her out to dinner because she didn’t want to tell him in private. She feared he would react rather badly.
Here was the 4 of Spades.
What are some ways you could incorporate the 5 of Clubs and the 4 of Spades into your story?
I Dare You To Take Action:
Create a scene where the character is worried about the future and the outcome is beyond his/her control. There is an upsetting separation. Allow your intuition to guide you.
What is your character worried about? Why?
What does your character do while in the thick of the worrying?
What is the involuntary separation? Why?
How does your character handle this? Why?
Describe this scene in a vivid way.
