Positive Affirmation of the Day:
I am part of the collective consciousness as walk in the path of my dreams.
Central theme of your writing piece for the day:
The Dream Walker stands upon the ledge with her flute. She plays a melodious tune that beckons you to follow the path of your dreams. We all have a song that our soul hears and recognizes.
What is your song? What is your message you need to share with others through your writing?
Do you want to:
Write a non-fiction book? Compile a collection of short stories? Write a novel? Write a memoir?
No matter what your song/dream is — The Dream Walker calls upon you to focus on what really resonates within your soul.
It is a time to be true to yourself and take some time to recognize what your dreams are. Your dreams will come true. All you need to do is — ask.
Sometimes people ask me, “How do I know what my dream is?”
Your dream is something you have wanted for a very long time. Granted, it may have gotten buried under all the bills, children, marriage, and family, but it doesn’t meant that you don’t have a dream for yourself.
Remember when you were a kid and you had all sorts of hopes and dreams for yourself? Try to recall what those were and write them down. Build upon that and The Dream Walker will do the rest.
This is one of my favorite focuses to do because whenever I introduce a new topic to my students, there are some who refuse to get excited about it. Who doesn’t get excited about the Circulatory System? Or the Reproductive System?!!
One specific example occurred in my Anatomy and Physiology class. One of my students refused to open her mind about the group activity we were working on. Each group was given three medical scenarios in which they would encounter. They needed to tie the A and P element to each scenario. She crossed her arms and mumbled that she hated science.
Interesting… a nurse who hated science. That was a new one for me.
Okay, okay. I confess. It broke my heart to know that someone out there HATED science, but oh well.**
Rather than try to change her mind, I worked with what was already there. I asked her about why she wanted to be a nurse. I listened to her response and allowed her answers to guide my questioning.
For your character in your book…
Your character had dreams once upon a time? What were they? Let us in their lives and allow us to experience what their dreams were?
Did your character follow their dreams? Did their dreams turn out as they expected? Or did their dreams end up being filled with illusions which ended up in disappointment?
Show us what your characters have gone through to achieve their dreams.
I Dare You To Take Action Prompt:
The Dream Walker is here to help your dreams of becoming a reality. Most people are afraid to ask. I see this all the time in my classroom. I will see a student struggling with a task or an assignment. The signs are obvious — the look of confusion etched upon their adolescent face is unmistakable.
When I approach the student and ask if they need help, they shake their head ‘no’. I know better than that, so I switch tactics — yes, I’m sly like that — and ask the student to explain to me what their battle plan is to tackle the task at hand. I encourage them to use their own vision and words.
With great ease — the student spills their ideas out into the open and their vision manifests.
Do this! Straighten yourself out and pull together the courageous sense of yourself.
Clearly state your vision. Your dream. Your path. Your music. Fill in the blanks below and state your intentions out loud!
My vision is _____________________.
My dream is ___________________.
My spiritual path is _________________.
My music is _____________________.
The Dream Walker will hear the intent and work to manifest your desires. Your dreams will come true.
