Positive Affirmation of the Day:
I trust my inner guide to strategize the next best move.
Central theme of your writing piece for the day:
You have everything you need to write your book. Trust your inner guide to lead you in your writing journey. It’s time to put away all the research and excuses.
Have faith in your spirit!
The Chess Queen is one of several favorite oracle cards in the deck. She closely aligns herself with one of my favorite board games to play: Chess. There is nothing like the feel of the individual pieces in your hand as you place everyone in their rightful spots. The game is one of strategy. One must think several moves ahead or the game gets rather bloody.
When I find myself in a bind, I tap into my previous knowledge and my spirit to guide me out of the potential mess. In the end, you win some and you lose some.
When you’re writing your book, trying to figure out what you should write about next can be a challenge. It’s okay to ask the spirit to give you clues as to what step to take next. Do you think you should kill off a character? Do you think your character should engage in a dangerous romance? Should your character do X, Y, or Z?
All you have to do is ask and you will get an answer back in some way, shape, or form.
The beautiful feature about The Chess Queen is that she is always strategizing. She has full command of the board or your book or your creative process. Know that she can move backwards, forwards, left, right, or diagonal. No matter what move you make, the Chess Queen can ensure the next move is going to be for your best benefit.
Who knows, perhaps the next words you write will change the lives of those who read your work!??
Ask the spirits for a vision of your book. You might be surprised at your answer. At this time, pay attention to the signs around you. Pay attention to your dreams. Pay attention to your gut feeling.
One time, a fellow writer was stuck on having his book set in one town. Why? There was something that drew him to this town. He spent his weekends there and tried to capture the feel of the place. Every single detail was important. That’s fine. However, he felt there was something missing.
I reminded him to connect with his spirit. His muse. It was important for him to listen to his intuition because there was a reason that voice was nudging him in another direction. After much reluctance, he decided to follow that thread and see where the voice would lead him.
Sure enough, he found a better scene for his story. He found that he was not struggling with the flow of his creativity. When things happen organically, ideas flow freely. This is The Chess Queen at work. She is carefully strategizing the best story for you to share with the world.
We all forget that we live on two different planes: Yours and The Spirits.
The spirit comes from a place of good and your best benefit. Sometimes it’s hard to put our egos aside and relinquish control. However, the Chess Queen will help guide you and allow for maximum growth.
I Dare You To Take Action Prompt:
The beautiful feature about the Chess Queen in the actual game of chess, is her ability to be versatile. When I first learned how to play chess, one of my students obliterated my players with his Queen. Okay, okay. I left some important details out. I had some students whispering to me what my next move should be and I ended up taking out the queen of my opponent.
The game went on and one of his pawns made it to the other side of the board. He resurrected his Queen and obliterated my pieces. It was a bloody match and I learned a lot about what not to do. Never underestimate the power of the Queen to resurrect herself!
Nevertheless, the Chess Queen will clear out a path for you — the right path. When you’re writing your book or thinking about which characters to add or subtract (that felt a bit math-ified — I gotta share the love for the philomathers out there!), ask The Chess Queen to guide you in your writing journey.
