Positive Affirmation of the Day:

I walk through the seasons of my life with grace.

Central theme of your writing piece for the day:

Sisters of the Seasons invite you to walk through the seasons of your spirit and your life with grace.   There is a time for everything.

Writing Focus:

There is a time for your ideas pertaining to your be to be created.  In this moment, enjoy all the wonderful ideas that flood your brain and keep you awake at night.  Write every single detail down.  Record the conversations that happen in your head.  Take pictures of what your literary world looks like.

There is a time for your character, setting, and other details to be fleshed out.  Write out what your character looks like.  Create a collage of your literary world from the pictures you took from your earlier season.  Create a character sheet.  Outline your book.  Write your book.

There is a time for editing.  This season calls upon you to move scenes around.  Delete sentences or even chapters.  No worries.  You can always use them for another short story  or book.  Embrace this season as it allows you to smooth out the rough edges of your creation!

There is a time for a dry spell where you spend most of your time in research.  Many people have a strong aversion for this season and scream: HELP. I’VE GOT WRITER’S BLOCK.  This phenomenon does not exist.  Before you go on a diatribe and try to convince me that it does exist, I ask you to think on something.

Rather than think you’ve got writer’s block, change your thinking and see it more as a time to take a much needed creative break.  Go do something for yourself.  Take a visit to a spa or a nice park.  Make this season all about you.  Reach out to other people and fill your life with laughter and joy.  Try new activities.  The purpose of this time is to recharge your batteries so you can move through another three seasons with ease!

Rather than curse the time you are in, embrace it because we all must enjoy the gifts the spirits bring to us in each season.  To try to rush through the season, rather tan soak in where you need to be only slows your spiritual progress.

You’re bigger than that!

I Dare You To Take Action Prompt:

Close your eyes and connect with your spirit.  Take a few minutes to get into a meditative state.  When you do, envision yourself moving through your writing season with great ease.  You slide into the birth cycle, where new ideas are created.  Allow yourself you embrace all of the feelings that come to you.  See yourself creating amazing story ideas.

Once you’ve been there, thank the spirit for those ideas and move into the growth phase.  Here your ideas start to flourish and take form.  Your book feels more solid.  Then take those ideas and go into the harvest arena.  Here, all the ideas transform into words and take the form of a book.  Your book is real.  It is in your hands.  Imagine what the cover looks like.  Imagine your creation in the hands of another or on their nightstand.

Now that your book is on the bookshelves of many stores across the nation, it’s time for you to rest and slip into the decay stage.  Find some ways to connect with the people in your life or other areas that have been left on the shelf.
