Central theme of your writing piece for the day:

There is such beauty in this card: the gold dome, which indicates wealth and independence; the vibrant bloom of the green foliage atop the wood curvatures; the sliver of the moon in it’s young phase – alluding to the potential growth that is yet to come.  Not to mention, the bright pregnant moon bursting with amazing power.

The miraculous component is that even though the Golden Palace oracle is reversed, the full moon behind the Golden Palace still retains her dignity, indicating there is always enough.

Despite the promises of “enough” in this card your character believes s/he does not have enough of something or maybe…. someone?  The reversed card indicates that the moon that once was a waxing crescent phase is now in the waning crescent phase.   Has abundance slipped away?  Has the love slipped away?

Writing Focus:

All human beings have a desire to have enough or better yet, to have all of their needs met. Psychologist Maslow created a hierarchy of needs : physiological, safety, love/belonging, esteem, and self-actualization.  The delicious mix includes the most basic and most complex desires and wants.

Is your character feeling that they don’t have enough of something in their life?  Perhaps they are yearning for more love despite they have a large family who showers love and devotion.  Others may want to ensure that a certain genetic disorder does not get passed down onto future generations.  Better yet, your character is in a viscous cycle of over-indulgence with  food or sex, but still feels as if they are an empty shell.

I Dare You To Take Action Prompt:

Take some time to meditate and listen to your intuition. Think back on a time you felt you didn’t have enough in your life.  How did you feel? Desperate? Lost? Despair?  What was the THING you felt you lacked?  Make sure you write down the key words that come to mind during your meditative practice.

If you have already written your story, take a moment to review your draft and include the inadequacy your character feels.  If you have not written your story yet, is there a way you can weave the Golden Palace (Reversed) into the world of a character or characters?

On the flipside, maybe your character needs to experience the feeling from having enough to the feeling of not having enough.  Perhaps your character starts to forget what s/he does have and does not realize the abundance in plain sight.

Remember, SHOW the emotions.  Go ahead and shake up your storyline!  Happy writing.
